This beautiful, short and sweet winter wedding took place this December at the New York Yacht Club in Newport, RI. I especially liked this wedding since the couple kept everything so simple - a tight guest list of immediate family and only their closest friends, using the enchanting tiny chapel at the bottom of the property for the ceremony, and allowing the festive decor and built-in beauty of the historic Club to speak for itself.
This Chapel is something to see - inside, it's as if time has completely stood still! The photographs on the walls date back to the beginning of the Club and share the incredible, detailed history of the property. This Chapel, built in 1845, was actually the Club's first official Clubhouse and more details about it's journey to Newport can be found here.
It was a frigid late December afternoon, but no one seemed to mind...
We braved the biting wind and low temperatures to catch the last of the sunset overlooking the harbor. These two made it look like a piece of cake! Speaking of cake...
Inviting, cozy and warm...
Congratulations Sarah and Andreas! Happy New Year and Cheers to you!
