Unfortunately, I did not win the $500 million dollar jackpot Powerball drawing last night... but that's ok, it's been a super busy time for us and we have plenty of good fortune and lots to be excited about now and throughout the upcoming months.

To kick off the day, Courtney and Tony's wedding was featured on A Crimson Kiss blog! This wedding is a favorite of mine for SO many reasons and I am overjoyed to see these two getting even more attention. They are such an awesome couple and deserve to be in the spotlight again and again. Congratulations, guys!!

10.03.2012

Wedding Wednesday! I am so happy to share this beautiful post on the very gorgeous True Event blog...

This summer, I was asked to photograph a stylized mock wedding at the lovely waterfront euro-chic Forty 1 North hotel and marina. A few bloggers were hand picked from NYC to come and write about the event and experience all that Forty 1 North has to offer a potential bride and groom (not just for the big day, but perhaps a rehearsal dinner, accommodations, post wedding brunch and mimosas, or just a fabulous spot to relax and unwind like a celebrity. Oh - you can park your yacht there as well!). Having been there many times for many different events, large or small, day or night, the ambiance at Forty 1 North isn't ostentatious but always feels exclusive.

Many thanks to all of the talented vendors that pulled this event off beautifully!
And thanks to Laura of True Event for the lovely feature!

Elizabeth & Beau

8.30.2012

I am in love with the natural, rustic beauty of this June wedding! The Meeting House at Tiveron Four Corners was the perfect setting for a summertime wedding in the country.

I love the detail of this tent's lone star...

Elizabeth and Beau are such a lovely, down to earth couple and they wanted a big backyard gathering that showcased their natural surroundings and emphasized their simple but sweet summery style. It was almost surreal! I'm tempted to call it "The Shire" - tucked into the woods, the earthy scents, lush lawns and bright, beautiful flowers...

This warm late afternoon light is so beautiful...

 Gorgeous!

Both serious chefs, the top priority for Elizabeth and Beau was gorgeous food and lots of it! The stations included a "Marry Me Kimchee" Asian fusion table, raw bar, creative and unique passed hors d'oeuvres and just about the most gigantic lobsters I've ever seen for on-the-spot lobster rolls.... Nothing says summer in New England like fresh lobster rolls! So delicious!

These long farm tables are one of my favorite set ups. They're such an excellent layout for a family style sitting and conversation is easy and open...

These tea lights perfectly punctuate the evening sky...

It was an incredible summer night and an absolutely gorgeous wedding...

Congratulations to Elizabeth and Beau! Wishing you both the very best, always!

Nell & Andy

7.25.2012

Nell and Andy, both avid sailors and seaside dwellers, had a gorgeous nautical wedding in Newport, RI. Both of these two have impeccable taste, a million friends, and that certain joie de vivre - in addition to being two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. If there's an amazing party, they're there. And if there isn't, these two are usually just about to start one! Nell and the bridesmaids got ready at the couple's exquisite home in the Point neighborhood...

I love these giant pink peonies and the signal flags (Nell Loves Andy!)

They were married in the famous Trinity Church in downtown Newport and immediately followed the ceremony with a walk down to the docks...

...for a gorgeous harbor cruise on the Rum Runner II.

Nothing beats cruising around this seaside town's scapes with a cool breeze, all your friends, and the sound of champagne popping!
I love the navy and pink combo and Andy's pink lined coat tails. For more good stuff, check out Nell's upscale nautically inspired boutiques - Chace 'N Lulu in Newport RI and Nantucket, and Monelle in Vermont! You'll be so glad you did.

Love these!

Their reception was held on the docks and in the tent at Regatta Place on Goat Island.

As I said, these two always know how to have a good time - and after a surprise smoke alarm shook things up, we didn't skip a beat!

Congratulations Nell and Andy! You are two very special people and I am so happy you've tied the knot. Wishing you all the very best, always!!
XOXOXO

Courtney & Tony

5.30.2012

Courtney and Tony had a breathtaking oceanside Castle Hill wedding on May 5th, 2012. If you've perused my blog, you may remember these two from their totally unforgettable and spectacular birthday-slash-engagement surprise from last summer (and if you need some tips and pointers guys, I highly suggest taking notes from Tony!). When I was asked to shoot their wedding, I was beyond psyched, not only because we already shared the history of their impressive engagement, but Courtney and Tony exemplify everything I love about shooting weddings: endless personality and laughs, giant, open hearts, and whopping doses of style and panache...

There was no shortage of laughs!

The peachy-pink tones of the bridesmaids dresses and Courtney's ahhhmazing flowing gown popped with color against the overcast hues of the day.

Gorgeous!

Always worth the off-roading to get down to the rocks on the water...

Castle Hill's new tent is just one of many amazing creations from Sperry Tents
Thank you Courtney and Tony for all the laughs, treating me like an old friend, and for sharing another milestone with me... all the very best to you and congratulations!
